How do I see what items are on backorder?

I have been playing around with sales orders. If I create a sales order with an order of 10 units, but only ship and invoice 5, where can I see that open 5 units at a later date?

Hi Bob - The easiest way is to go to the "Open Sales Orders" report. There you can see all of your open sales orders that have not yet been filled. Then drill down on each one to see exactly how many units have been shipped and/or invoiced. Hope that makes sense.
