<br> It appears that the significantly beneath rated Ben Affleck could have finally discovered a spot in Hollywood the place he can get hold of the respect that he so well deserves - - behind the digital camera. His excellent film "Gone Baby Gone" was undoubtedly one of 2007's best. <br> The film centers around a lacking little girl, her quite questionable mom, the police department who can't find her and the private detective team employed to look for her. Veteran actor, Morgan Freeman, plays the town's police chief. He's a man on a mission to avoid wasting this particular little lady as a result of he couldn't save his personal daughter. <br> Oscar nominee, Amy Ryan, performs Amanda's mother, Helen McCready. She is a boozing druggie with a foul mouth and questionable intentions towards her tiny tot. Ryan does an incredible job, managing to infuse Helen with just enough vulnerability to maintain the viewers from finding her totally despicable. <br> Casey Affleck (Ben's younger brother) plays Paul Kenzie, the non-public detective that Amanda's aunt (performed by Amy Madigan) hires to search out her. It seems that she was taken in response to her mother stealing drug cash from an area supplier. But she takes Angie and Patrick to the money and begs them to return it for her daughter. <br> The detective in charge of the case, Remy Bressent (performed by Ed Harris), together with Captain Doyle (Morgan Freeman), arranges for an change. However, things goes awry during the swap. The drug dealer ends of useless and Amanda plunges to her demise over a cliff. <br> Angie cannot live with the outcome and spends her days crying whereas Patrick can't shake the sensation that something simply doesn't ring true. When another supplier insinuates that he might have positioned the little girl residing in a home with pedophiles, Patrick jumps at the possibility that she may still be alive. <br> Although it turns out to be a false lead, the next actions lead him to additional query the events that occurred the evening of the kidnap change. What follows is a clever, twist that few may have ever guessed was coming. <br> This is not the simplest film to observe. The cause behind it's that the story rings far too true in methods too many areas. But it's an impressive movie that deserves to be seen. The performances are tight and proper on the money. Affleck infuses his character with a number of layers, which he fastidiously pulls again one by one. <br> Monaghan is beautiful, soulful, and vibrant. She proves to be the perfect match for Affleck. <br> Morgan is, as all the time, nothing in need of spectacular. Harris plays a character that definitely goes against the grain and the result's memorable. <br> Ben Affleck and Aaron Stockard penned a near excellent script, with a lot of nuance, nicely-defined characters, and a beautiful plot. Perhaps that is why Affleck's direction flows so truly and easily. <br> I beloved this film, which is hard for me to say considering the truth that that it's every thing that I often don't like in a movie. It is difficult and in your face. Most of all, it is graphically actual. And but, you can't help but experience each body proper along with the characters, which is the true sign of an excellent movie. <br> This one ought to find yourself a basic. It is just that good. For that purpose, I even have to offer four and one-half out of 5 stars. <br>
